Less is more. I don't need much in life to be happy.
My passion goes fully toward the person sitting in my chair. I am a good listener and love to find out what the person likes to achieve with his/her hair. People are my inspiration, from Zurich to London and New York City! I describe my work as a free form of cutting and I love naturally sun kissed highlights.
Odile Gilbert, a French, female maestro of hair. She was my first inspiration doing hair, you can see her work in Sofia Coppola’s movie Marie Antoinette; Morrissey, because he is a Rebel.
“The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying”, Sogyal Rinpoche. This book has been traveling with me for a couple of years now; read some days more so than others. It is a book that focuses on how to understand the true meaning of life.
Since I love cooking myself, I do not go out too often, but I do have a place where I like to take my husband for a nightly appetizer or a special evening of music and food - Isis Restaurant and Music Hall, West Asheville, and also Old Europe, a kind of old-fashioned, Viennese style coffee shop for a good cup of coffee and homemade pastries, which reminds me of home.
