anandawest is located in the lower level of the Wedge Studios in the River Arts District in Asheville, North Carolina. The three story classic warehouse was built adjacent to the railroad tracks and functioned as a produce and livestock distribution center in the early part of the 19th century. After many evolutions, the Wedge, named for the shape of the building, was transformed into artist studios. The salon is a more intimate space with an industrial flair. We support local artists by having them feature their artwork at both locations. The salon completely incorporates the natural atmosphere, having a large door that opens up to the French Broad River and Asheville's railroad system.
